2010 Inspection Tour Dates and Site Information

2010 AHS INSPECTION TOUR ENROLLMENT AND FOAL REGISTRATION FORMS

Note: These forms are used to initiate all 2010 foal registrations, including foals not attending an inspection site. In the latter case, check the box with the notation “Registration by Mail.” Registration papers will be issued when all requirements are completed.

  • In order to be eligible, all foals MUST be registered by the end of their yearling year.
  • Due to the contractual agreement between the AHS and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), foal owners are hereby advised that in order to obtain complimentary USEF lifetime recording as part of the AHS’s comprehensive $185.00 registration fee, all registration requirements must be delivered to the AHS central office by December 31 of their weanling year.

  2010 Membership Renewal/Upgrade Form
All persons wishing to present horses or register foals during the 2010 AHS Inspection Tour must be current Active or Life Members.

July summer entries not postmarked by Tuesday, June 22, 2010 will be subject to a $30.00 late processing fee.
October fall entries not postmarked by Tuesday, September 21, 2010 will be subject to a $30.00 late processing fee.
Please note that all non-Hanoverian mare pedigrees must be submitted for pre-approval by the Mare and Stallion Committee. Copies of registration papers may be emailed to the office at ahsoffice@aol.com or faxed to (859) 255-8467.

This site is a one-day AHS East Coast Stallion Licensing Site. Actual schedule will depend on number of entries. Mare entries may be limited in order to accommodate stallion inspection.

Tentative Schedule: 8:00 a.m.: Registration: 8:30 a.m.: 1st Presentation of Stallions on Triangle; Measurement of Stallions; Free Jumping of Stallions; Inspection of non-Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards; Inspection of Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards; 2nd Presentation of Stallions on Triangle, followed by vet check and announcement of results; Foal Presentations, followed by branding (last activity of day). A MPT will be held. Further details will be available closer to event date when host has better idea of number of entries.

Stabling: 18 permanent stalls available on premises, $45/stall/night or for the day. No grounds fee if not stabling. Make checks payable to Hilltop Farm. Payment due at time of reservations. Refund only if another horse can fill the stall. First bedding (straw) provided, additional bedding, hay available for purchase. Friday arrival time is 12 p.m.–5:00 p.m. Horses must depart on the Saturday evening. Stabling very limited thus will be priority given to stallions and MPT participants.

Other Requirements: Negative Coggins all horses and health certificate all out-of-state horses. All horses proof of current rhino vaccination within 90 days, but not less than 7 days, prior to arrival. All stallions must by EVA negative, contact host for specific EVA requirements. CEM testing may be required.

Directions: An inspection packet, including directions and accommodations will be mailed by Hilltop to each participant.

Other:
This site has an unlimited entry but stalls available for only 18 horses with priority for stallions, mares for inspection and MPT mares in that order. In other words, foals coming in for inspection and branding (out of previously inspected mares) will not have stall priority. Must pre-register for handling and braiding services. A photographer and videographer will be present. No dogs on grounds.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 40m x 60m outdoor sand arena or 25m x 50m indoor arena with sand footing; Mare Performance Test: Free jumping and under saddle portion in indoor arena. Warmup: outdoor on grass or sand.

Other: No arrivals before noon on Sunday, July 11. No dogs on grounds. Food will be available compliments of Marefield Meadows. Spectator seating near arena. No trailer hook-ups. Other than stall limitations, this site will have an unlimited entry. Each participant must sign a waiver of liability. Five additional stalls (if necessary) are available 5 miles from site.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 120’ x 90’ outdoor sand arena or 84’ x 280’ indoor arena with sand/rubber footing; Mare Performance Test: Free Jumping will be held in indoor arena, the under saddle portion will be held outdoors if weather permits.

Other: Other than limitations on stall accommodations (see above), this site will have an unlimited entry. Food available for purchase. Spectator seating near arena. No dogs on grounds. Extensive parking available on stone/asphalt/grass areas. No restrictions on lengths of trailers coming to this site.

From I-74 West: Exit St. Leon /St.Rt. 1. Turn right, go about 15 miles to Prebble Rd., turn right, and follow directions as above.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 70’x 200’ outdoor sand arena or 70’ x 150’ indoor arena, wood chip/mulch footing; MPT: Free jumping in indoor chute, under saddle indoor or outdoor. Note: Free-jumping schooling offered the day prior to inspection.

Staff on hand for grooming, braiding, handling and presentation of horses. Unlimited entry. A wine and cheese party will be held evening of July 13. Lunch provided both days at nominal cost.
