2009 AHS INSPECTION TOUR ENROLLMENT FORMS
Note: These forms are used to initiate all 2009 foal registrations, including foals not attending an inspection site. In the latter case, check the box with the notation “Registration by Mail.” Registration papers will be issued when all requirements are completed.

Turn left on Racine. W Racine to N Jackson Avenue. Turn right on Jackson. From Waukesau/Milwaukee/Chicago: I-94 W to exit 267 (Hwy 26, the Johnson Creek/Watertown exit). Left on 26 South. Hwy 26 to Puerner Street. Turn right on W Puerner to N Jackson. R onto Jackson.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: Either 115’ x 220’ outdoor or 105’ x 150’ indoor arena, depending on weather. Mare Performance Test: Free jumping in indoor, under saddle in outdoor arena. Both have sand footing.

Other: Food will be available compliments of host. Spectator seating available. Dogs must be leashed. This site will hold an AHS approved mare show. Parking available on gravel and asphalt.

Other: Will require liability waiver and indemnification from each participant. Windswept Farm is unable to provide braiding services or staff to present mares. A Breeders’ Evening will be held on the Saturday evening, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. Open to visiting commission and all Hanoverian enthusiasts. This is our 22nd annual AHS inspection.

Take the first right onto Tifft Road. Go to end. Cross over little cement bridge. Bear left after bridge. Brookside is the second driveway on the left.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 20 x 60 meter outdoor sand arena or 70 x 180 indoor arena, sand/sawdust footing; Mare Performance Test: Both free jumping and the under saddle portion will take place in the indoor arena. Warmup outdoor.

Other: Unlimited site entry. No dogs on grounds. Food will be available courtesy of host. Extensive parking available.

Follow as above.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 60’ x 200’ outdoor sand arena; Mare Performance Test: Free Jumping will be held in indoor 60’ x 170’ arena, the under saddle portion will be held outdoors if weather permits.

Other: Weekly free jumping practice sessions prior to inspection date are open to outside mares. No dogs on grounds. Spectator seating near arena, bring own chair. Parking limited. Food provided courtesy of host. Other than limitations on stall accommodations (see above), this site will have an unlimited entry.

This site is a one-day AHS East Coast Stallion Licensing Site. Actual schedule will depend on number of entries. Mare entries may be limited in order to accommodate stallion inspection. Tentative Schedule: 8:00 a.m.: Registration: 8:30 a.m.: 1st Presentation of Stallions on Triangle; Measurement of Stallions; Free Jumping of Stallions; Inspection of non-Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards; Inspection of Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards; 2nd Presentation of Stallions on Triangle, followed by vet check and announcement of results; Foal Presentations, followed by branding (last activity of day). A MPT will be held. Further details will be available closer to event date when host has better idea of number of entries.

Stabling: 20 permanent stalls available on premises, $45/stall/night or for the day. $25.00 grounds fee if not stabling. Make checks payable to Hilltop Farm. Payment due at time of reservations. Refund only if another horse can fill the stall. First bedding (straw) provided, additional bedding, hay available for purchase. Friday arrival time is 12 p.m.–5:00 p.m. Horses must depart on the Saturday evening. Stabling very limited thus will be priority given to stallions and MPT participants.

Other Requirements: Negative Coggins all horses and health certificate all out-of-state horses. All horses proof of current rhino vaccination within 90 days, but not less than 7 days, prior to arrival. All stallions must by EVA negative, contact host for specific EVA requirements. CEM testing may be required.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 40m x 60m outdoor sand arena or 25m x 50m indoor arena with sand footing; Mare Performance Test: Free jumping and under saddle portion in indoor arena. Warmup: outdoor on grass or sand.

Other: No arrivals earlier than noon on Saturday, August 8 and no later than 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8. No dogs on grounds. Food will be available compliments of host. Spectator seating near arena. Other than stall limitations, this site will have an unlimited entry. Each participant must sign a waiver of liability.

Standard Order of Go: 8:00 a.m.: Registration: 8:30 a.m.: Mare Performance Test: Free Jumping; during free jumping evaluation of the trot in free running; evaluation of conformation and correctness of gaits, if necessary (i.e. for mares doing both MPT and studbook inspection); Inspection of non-Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards (incl. non-Hann. mares for inspection from MPT, if any); MPT, under saddle portion; Inspection of Hanoverian Mares, walk ring and awards (including the Hanoverian mares for inspection from the MPT); Lunch; Foal Presentations, followed by branding (last activity of day).

Stabling: 8 permanent and 6 temporary stalls available on premises, $25.00/night or for the day. $15 grounds fee if not stabling. Make checks payable to Friehe Farms. Payment due at time of reservations. First bedding (shavings or straw) provided. Other bedding/hay available for purchase.

Other Requirements: Negative Coggins and health certificate required for all horses.

Directions: I-90 from Seattle, take exit Q, turn left (north) back over interstate. Go 3 miles on Q. Turn right on Road 3. Go 2 miles. Turn right on Road S (potato sheds on right). Go ½ mile. Farm is on right. I-90 from Spokane: Take exit Q (head north), turn right on Q, go 3 miles. Turn right on Road 3. Go 2 miles. Turn right on Road S. Go ½ mile. Friehe Farm on right.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 80’ x 200’ outdoor arena, sand footing; Mare Performance Test: enclosed free jumping chute in outdoor arena. Warmup: outdoor Other: Stabling limited, will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Food will be available compliments of hosts. No dogs on grounds. Extensive parking available on gravel.

Directions: From I-275 around Cincinnati, take Lawrenceburg exit (only exit in IN); go through traffic light, be in right lane on exit ramp. At stop sign, turn right onto Rt.1. Go about 4 miles, turn left onto Prebble Rd. (same turn as Ski-Slopes). Turn right onto Kaiser Dr., go about 2 miles to Oakwood Farm/Hanoverian Lane on left. Large stone walls at entrance. From I-74 West: Exit St. Leon /St.Rt. 1. Turn right, go about 15 miles to Prebble Rd., turn right, and follow directions as above.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 70’x 200’ outdoor sand arena or 70’ x 150’ indoor arena, wood chip/mulch footing; MPT: Free jumping in indoor chute, under saddle indoor or outdoor. Note: Free-jumping schooling offered the day prior to inspection.

Other: Staff on hand for grooming, braiding, handling and presentation of horses. Unlimited entry. A wine and cheese party will be held evening of October 9. Lunch provided both days at nominal cost.

Facilities: Mare Inspection: 20m x 50m indoor arena with gypsum footing; Mare Performance Test: both free jumping and under saddle portion will be held indoors. Outdoor warmup available.

Other: Stabling is limited to the eight available stalls. No dogs on grounds. Spectator seating available near arena. Food will be available compliments of host. Extensive parking in field near barn.
