The Jumper Breeding Committee met during the AHS Annual Meeting in early February. Several ideas were discussed that will result in some exciting new programs for promoting North American-bred show jumpers and for educating those interested in breeding show jumpers.

Eastern Canadian Free Jumping Championship Fifth Annual Free Jumping Competition

The Eastern Canadian Free Jumping Championships are jointly sponsored by the Hanoverian Breeders Club of Eastern Canada and the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association. This will be our fifth annual competition and it will be held on Sunday April 22, 2007 at the Orangeville Fairgrounds.

North American Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program to Sponsor Incentive Awards Program for 2007 Young Jumper Championship Series

Lexington, KY – The North American Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program (JBP) committee is pleased to announce a new awards sponsorship for the top placing Hanoverians in the 2007 Young Jumper Championships. The purpose of the awards is to provide an added incentive for owners of Hanoverian show jumpers to compete their horses in the Young Jumper Championship Series, a well-established national jumping competition recognized by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), which officially ranks all horses competing in these age divisions.

Romantic Star added to JBP Approved Stallion List

The Hanoverian stallion Romantic Star (Ramiro's Son II (Holst.)-Pirola/Pinkus) has been added to the list of stallions eligible for the North American Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program.
