Mister A was tested at Adelheidsdorf in 1987, finishing first out of 45 in rideability with the incredible score of 141.45 points. He was trained to Grand Prix by the German Master Manfred Lopp and was then selected to be a member of the famous high school "Quadrille of Chestnut Hanoverian Stallions." He stood as a Celle stallion from 1988-1995, then was sold to Canada, standing at Spruce Meadows in 1996 and 1997 and with Seajay Management Enterprises in 1998 through 2000.

From his 12 crops conceived abroad (eight in Germany and four through the VhW in Canada) Mister A sired 239 VhW-registered offspring, of which 69 are approved broodmares, including three States Premium. The stallion relocated to California following the 2000 breeding season, standing initially at Creek Hollow Farm, Ramona, Calif., and for the past two years at the farm of Ralph and Suzan Strahan in Nevada.

In 2005, Ralph and Suzan's young daughter Roxanne and Mister A were the Fourth Level Champions for the California Dressage Society Junior Championship Show in Burbank, California. In 2006, the pair competed at the Prix St. Georges Level with multiple wins on the northern California show circuit. Roxanne and Mister A were the 2006 USDF Dressage Horse of the Year, FEI, Prix St. Georges, Junior, Hanoverian Champions. In 2007, Roxanne and Mister A were very successful with their musical freestyle, never scoring below 71%, and winning the AHS/USDF All-Breed Championship for Fourth Level Freestyle with a median score of 71.667%.

Mister A sired 22 offspring with the AHS, including three Main Studbook mares and another entered into the Studbook.
