AHS Annual Meeting

The 2009 meeting will take place in Reno, Nev., February 6-8.
Details and Registration information on this meeting will be posted on this website in early fall and will also appear in the fall issue of The American Hanoverian.

Location and Dates

The AHS holds an annual membership meeting each year, typically in late January or early February. Host cities are chosen from across the U.S., and recent locations have included Jacksonville (FL), Los Angeles (CA), Palm Beach (FL), Houston (TX) and Baltimore (MD).

Programs and Seminars

The meeting typically offers three days of educational programs and seminars on various aspects of the equine industry and Hanoverian specific information. Attendees will also be updated on the work of various AHS committees and will have the opportunity to brainstorm marketing ideas. Recent meetings have also included popular training symposiums by U.S. Olympian Debbie McDonald and USEF Young Horse Dressage Coach Scott Hassler.

Awards Banquet and Silent Auction

In conjunction with the meeting, a catered awards dinner is held to honor the outstanding AHS members and Hanoverian winners of the previous season's cache of AHS Year-End Awards. The ever-popular Silent Auction continues to offer fun and fantastic bidding opportunities on a wide range of donated items. Proceeds from the auction continue to benefit future annual meeting educational opportunities and Hanoverian promotion.
