AHS Stallion Auction Instructions
An AUCTION LINK will be available at the start of the online auction. It will be posted on the AHS home page as well as this page. Be sure to REFRESH your browser when you come back to see the latest additions and changes. You must register to bid. Click on the "New Registration" link in the top navigation set on the auction site. When you register, you will receive a password via e-mail. This may take a few minutes or so. Once you have received it, you must activate it by clicking on the link provided in the e-mail, and you may change your password by clicking on the "Change Registration" link on the auction site. Please keep in mind passwords are CASE SENSITIVE, and must be alphanumeric with no added spaces. In the event you forget your Alias or Password, click on the "Lost Alias or Password" link to retrieve it. Photos and owner's comments of all participating stallions will be available on each individual auction page. The entire online auction will run from this site. You will be able to register, make-up a bidding ID, and get your bidding password automatically. Bidding will be straight and proxy bidding. See winners notification procedure below. Accurate and complete contact information is required during the online registration process and will be validated by the AHS Central Office. Users who submit invalid information will be removed from the auction. Your contact information will remain private and is only available to the AHS Central Office. For security purposes, your specific IP (Internet Provider) address is recorded with your registration. Specify your desired alias, e-mail address, full address and phone numbers and you will receive a password in a confirmation e-mail. Please be patient. E-mails are generated automatically and usually arrive in just a few minutes, but due to individual server configurations and load, they can take longer to arrive. AOL users in particular can experience a delay of up to several hours. Bid Increments - you must increase your bids by at least $25. This minimum is set in the auction parameters, and all auctions have been set so the first bid will start at the individual stallion's minimum bid price. "Proxy" bidding is available through the use of the "Bid Agent" feature. Use this feature to enter your high bid and the auction will automatically bid for you up to that amount. Participants are notified by e-mail if they have been outbid by another user. Be advised Bid Agent may appear to cause bids to jump more than $25.00 when multiple bidders have it enabled and the hidden high bid is an odd amount. Unfortunately this is a program bug. If you use Bid Agent, be advised. If you note problems, contact the AHS Auction Manager immediately and it will be corrected manually if no other bids have been placed. If you wish, you may place a few practice bids on the items in the "Test Bidding" section before entering the stallion main auction. Items in the "Test Bidding" section are not actually available for sale and your bids will not be counted. Bidding questions should go to edgar@rainbowequus.com or to the auction manager at sandy@unbridledcreative.com. All auctions will end at the posted times. Individual auction close times and time remaining are listed on each stallion's page. To prevent "sniping" or a last minute barrage of bids, close times are automatically held until 5 minutes after the last bid is made. WINNERS will be notified at the close of the auction. You will be asked to call the AHS Central Office directly to submit your credit card information, or a link to a printable form will be provided for faxing the information to the office. All auctions must be paid by Visa/MC or with a debit card with the Visa/MC logo on it within 24-hours of the auction close. All payments will go to the AHS office. In the event there are unsold services at the close of the regular auction, the remaining stallions will be listed in a separate "Buy It Now" Auction posted on the morning after the main auction closes, and services will be available at a minimum bid on a first come, first bid basis. Bids for the "Buy It Now" auction must be submitted online and will not be accepted over the phone. |
