AHS Stallion Auction Terms and Conditions
The auction shall be governed by the following terms and conditions:
The 2009 Stallion Service Auction (SSA) will be conducted by Internet bidding only.
The minimum bid shall be one half of the posted breeding fee unless otherwise indicated.
All auctions will end between 9:00 p.m. and approximately 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 22, 2009. Individual auction close times and time remaining are listed on each stallion’s page. To prevent “sniping” or a last minute barrage of bids, close times are automatically held until five minutes after the last bid is made.
The stallion services offered in this auction are intended for the 2009 breeding season.
ALL BOOKING and COLLECTION and SHIPPING fees are payable to the stallion owner separate of the bid.
Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn. A bidder may bid on any number of stallion services, however, by placing a bid you are making a legal contract between yourself and the American Hanoverian Society for each service you bid on.
Stallions marked as “Bidder’s Choice” will be grouped with one or more stallions in a single auction. The winning bidder in a “Bidder’s Choice” auction will be asked to indicate their preference of one (1) of the stallion services listed in that grouping.
Winners will be notified via e-mail at the close of the auction. You will be asked to call the AHS Central Office directly on the following day to submit your credit card information, or a link to a printable form will be provided for faxing the information to the office. All auctions must be paid by Visa/MC or with a debit card with the Visa/MC logo on it within 24-hours of the auction close. All payments will go to the AHS office.
In the event there are unsold services at the close of the regular auction, the remaining stallions will be listed in a separate “Buy It Now” auction posted on Monday, February 23, 2009. These services will be available at a minimum bid on a first come, first bid basis. Bids for the “Buy It Now” auction must be submitted online and will not be accepted by phone.
THERE WILL BE NO Bid Withdrawals, EXCEPTIONS OR REFUNDS GIVEN. In other words, if you don’t want to pay for the stallion service, don’t bid!
The stallion owner has the right to refuse any mare not registered with the AHS. The winning bidder agrees to abide by the terms of the stallion owner’s breeding contract, and the AHS does not assume liability for any disputes that may arise between the
bidder and the stallion owner.
Kentucky residents who win bids for services to stallions standing in the state of Kentucky shall pay the required 6% state sales tax directly to the AHS Office.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
Please keep in mind that you need to communicatewith the stallion manager to make your breeding successful. Some stallions
have a show schedule. Don't wait until the day you need semen, butplan ahead and keep them informed. |
